The GateKeeper For Jeep Gladiator Tire Carrier has long been our most innovative and best selling product at Excessive Industries, and were happy to bring it to the all new Jeep Gladiator.
The GateKeeper was designed to improve your Jeep's capabilities while off roading. Better weight distribution leads to improved handling characteristics and a more balanced ride. Getting your spare tire out from under the truck allows you to carry a full size tire and keeps it out of harms way while off roading.
Mounting the spare tire in the bed of your Gladiator also allows normal use of your tailgate for those everyday truck owner chores.
We've added a few new features to this carrier that we believe you will find convenient and very useful. The carrier mounting rails now feature tabs at the front and back on each side. These can be used for antenna's, light whips, chase lights, Hi Lift Jack mounts and just about anything else you can dream up.
These tabs will be an ever expanding accessory mounting system, that's for sure! We currently offer brackets to Mount your Hi Lift Jack at the top of the bed rail as well as a Power Tank mounting plate. You can still order your carrier with the aluminum accessory panel for additional mounting locations.
You will also notice an all new side plate gusset design. The Cut Outs seen around the border have several benefits. Not only do they improve the look of the carrier, they also help to shave weight down as well as allow for hose clamps or zip ties to wrap around the tubing.
There are many accessories out there that can be fastened to the carrier in this manner.
The GateKeeper holds the tire suspended off the floor of the bed allowing you to slide items under the carrier when needed. Tire height and wheel offset are fully adjustable for different wheel and tire combinations. There is also a large amount of room in front of the carrier to store items out of sight.
Due to the bed of the Gladiator having parallel sides, you're able to Mount the carrier at any position in the bed. Want more room in the back of the bed? Slide the carrier all the way forward on Jeep's Trail Rail System. You'll still have room for a 42. Prefer to have more access in the front of the bed? Slide'r on back!
Currently the GateKeeper Tire Carrier requires Jeep's Trail Rail System to Mount to your Gladiator. This system is not included and must be purchased separately if your Gladiator is not outfitted with it already.
The GateKeeper is 100 percent bolt in and requires zero cutting or drilling to install. Product ships bare steel and will require some sort of corrosion inhibiting coating. Includes all necessary mounting hardware.
